Playstation Network Down For Maintenance
If you are trying to log onto the PSN then you will have quite the long wait on your hands. As we mentioned yesterday the Playstation Network is now down for scheduled maintenance. Full details of the maintenance can be found below. We have no information on why the scheduled maintenance is happening at this point.
PSN maintenance has been scheduled to take place on Thursday 15th December from 16.00PM until 02.00AM on Friday 16th December.
During the maintenance period the following services will be affected:
- PS Store (PC and Console)
- Account Management
- Account Registration
- HOME
Users who attemped to sign into the PlayStation Network during this period may be presented with the site maintenance notification page.
Users who are already signed into their PlayStation account when the maintenance begins should remain signed in, however the above services will still be unavailable.
Why Sony has had so much downtime lately is anyone’s guess, and why the downtime has been for 10 hours at a time can be left up to speculation. What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below!

I think while their doing maintainance, they should let psn user’s who arent signed in, sign in. But that’s just my opinion. I have been able to play COD or anythan else online for 2 days now. They better hurry and complete their maintainance.

PSN has got to get all these issued cleared up they need to make a monthly or weekly maintanence instead of dropping the service for days at a time. Its raising the concern of alot of psn users. You guys need to fix whatever the hell your doing

As of 8:45am Friday Dec 16th EST…. ITS STILL DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE! LET’S GET THE SHOW ON THE ROAD ALREADY!
